Raw mango sambar

I just love summer season because of raw mango and dishes made out of raw mangoes which are spicy, tangy and yummy making my summer season delightful.

Sambar is the most frequently made dish at my house. I would ecstatically consummate a whole raw mango when integrated to the sambar  And when paired with a spicy potato  fry. Once the raw mango cooks in the sambar, it becomes exceptionally tender and super tasty.

Homemade Black Pepper powder

Hi Guys,
I'm back with another post, its a peppery part of cooking, homemade pepper powder. I'm sharing this post because it will save your money and help you to avoid chemical and preservatives which are added in its making. But before we start let me introduce some facts of black pepper.Black pepper corns which are actually fruits of black pepper plants Piperaceae Family. Chemical present in pepper "Piperine" is responsible for spiciness.Ancient South India used Black pepper to give spicy flavors to their food. It is native to Kerala ,India. We will discuss more benefits but lets jump to the Black pepper powder preparation.

So, what we need just 1 cup of  whole black peppercorns  and a blending jar that's it.

Method : Its very simple put the whole black peppercorns in the blending jar and blend till it becomes powder.

Black Pepper loses its aroma and taste due to evaporation so store this in a dry airtight container which will help you to preserve the spiciness also. Use it accordingly. You can dry roast the peppercorns before grinding , it will give a roasted aroma and taste.

OK, now lets get back to the benefits of Black Pepper.
  • It stimulates to produce  hydrochloric acids in your stomach which improves your digestion.
  • Its outer layer contains terpene which helps to stimulate  breakdown of fat cells.
  • It contains potassium, magnesium, iron, vitamin K and vitamin C.
  • It prevents skin cancer caused due to heavy exposure to UV rays.
  • It also has antibacterial properties.
